Rigid cardboard Gammage

The outside paper for the foldable box is 157gsm C2S art paper, wrapping with grey cardboard. The stock type is 600gsm, 800gsm, 1000gsm, 1200gsm, 1400gsm, 1500gsm, 1800gsm, 2000gsm.This style of stock is tear resistant and adds protection and durability against damage.

Kraft Paperboard (Cardboard)

Also known as sack paper is a more porous stock option that offers highly durable properties. This style of stock is tear resistant and adds protection and durability against damage.

Outer Corrugated Carton to Pack

Corrugated fibreboard used in custom corrugated boxes is a paper-based material that displays fluted sheets of corrugated board. Common flute sizes are “A”, “B”, “C”, “E”, and “F”. Another type is called micro flute. The size of the flute describes the amount of flutes per linear foot.

This model of printing is a subtractive colour model. The name also describes the process of printing itself.

Pantone Matching System

This the general and standardized colour producing system. By standardizing shades and colours, those who are in different industries and companies can refers to the Pantone system to ensure that colours match.



The aqueous coating method is a clear and very quick drying water based coat that is used to help protect surfaces. This protective coating also help reduce fingerprints and dirt from sticking to the surface.

Spot UV

Unlike the previous options, the spot UV specifically spot treats a part of the box with a UV coating, opposed to having the whole box UC treated.

Gloss Lamination

This is less of a varnish or coating and more of a thin film that is pressed on to the box surface. The gloss lamination provides a clear and shiny surface that optimizes bright colors.

Matte Lamination

The matte also utilizes a thin film over the box surface, like the gloss lamination. The matte lamination gives a soft look while also reducing unsightly glares. The matte lamination is also commonly referred to as the True Crystal.

Gloss Varnish

A gloss varnish increases the saturation and depth of colors while improving image contrast. It provides good protection against rub-off but some fingerprinting will be apparent on dark or light colors.

Matte Varnish

The matte varnish will provide the surface with a “flatted” and non-glossy finish. Many find this varnish to provide a sleek and tactile quality to the finish.

Addition cuts, holes, or slits can be added to any custom box you order.


Debossing is the opposite of embossing, where the pressure is applied down on to the outside of the box to create debossing.


This option lets you create sculpted designs and text on the surface. The material is “pushed” from the inside to create a 3D texture.

Foil Stamping

Application of pigment or metallic foil, often gold or silver to paper where a heated die is stamped onto the foil, making it adhere to the surface leaving the design of the die on the paper.


Perforation is done by assembling a sequence of small holes that serve the purpose of easily being removed. For example, a box flap could have perforation along the edge so that the flap can be removed hassle free.

This is a plastic film that is spread over a window.
